For day charters La Mar accommodates up to 12 guests.
For liveaboard charters La Mar accommodates 6 guests.
La Mar is berthed year-round on the beautiful Hamilton Island. Your crew will collect you from Berth A6, opposite the Marina Cafe, for outings departing from Hamo.
Pick up from Airlie Beach is also an option from Coral Sea Marina at Abel Point. This incurs a small additional surcharge to cover fuel for the relocation.
Additionally we offer transfers to and from Hayman Island and Hamilton Island Airport, as well as day or overnight charters departing from Hayman Island. The additional surcharge is to cover the extra fuel.
Absolutely! We welcome all ages onboard and are the perfect fit for a family trip. For very young children or babies we can open up one of the bedrooms for them to have nap breaks away from the other activities. We do not provide any travel cots on board but feel free to bring one with you. Consider bringing your own PFD for children under the age of 6 to ensure they will be correctly fitted to ensure proper protection.
Yes! Working with our bookings concierge you will be able to craft your perfect day or trip. We strive to provide unique experiences for each of our valued guests. A private luxury charter is a completely flexible way to enjoy the Whitsundays with our itinerary built around you. As long as the weather permits it, we’re onboard!
With approximately 15 islands and 50 bays, inlets and beaches within easy reach we can create a totally bespoke itinerary for you and your guests.
The top ones to mention are Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet, Chalkies Beach, Chance Bay, Turtle Bay, Black Island, Stonehaven, Langford Island and Nara Inlet.
Each one has is own unique offering and provide fantastic alternatives if the weather prevents access to Whitehaven Beach.
For full day charters (6 hours) we would suggest 1-2 locations depending on how long you wish to spend in each place. Our bookings team will help you with this and have helpful advice. For a half day (4 hour) charter we would recommend 1 location to maximise your enjoyment.
Yes you can. We will provide you with a small welcome cheese or fruit platter as well as soft drinks, tea and coffees throughout.
For alcoholic beverages and mixers/cocktails we are a Bring Your Own (BYO) vessel. You can bring it down with you in the morning or orders can be placed at the Hamilton Island Bottle-O for our crew to collect for you. They’ll be chilled and ready to serve when you board.
For catering you are welcome to bring your own onboard. We have plenty of fridge/freezer/pantry space for all your favourite foods. Additionally we have a menu of catering options available.
To really elevate your experience, we can also help you with hiring a private chef.
